NEWTOWN SQUARE — With four runs in four games and a weekend to stew on their offensive shortcomings, Marple Newtown was looking for a spark Monday for its languishing offense.
The source may have seemed unlikely: A freshman second baseman. Reilly Fillman stepped up anyway, hitting the first of back-to-back homers in the third inning, one of three long balls on the day as the Tigers busted out with a 12-7 Central League win over Garnet Valley.
