Boys Soccer: All Main Line

The following Central League players were named to the All Main Line Teams.

 

FIRST TEAM

Chris Ward, Conestoga — Senior striker, a first team All-Central League selection, was a potent scorer and offensive force for the Central League champions, scoring eight goals in 21 games and receiving the Pioneers’ Offensive Player of the Year award.

Chris Chappelear, Conestoga — Senior defender, an All-Central League selection, anchored the Pioneers’ fine defense and received the Pioneers’ Defensive Player of the Year award. Also provided solid offense, tallying several goals and assists.

Will Smith, Conestoga — Junior goalie allowed 0.88 goals per game, posting seven shutouts, and providing excellent play in the net for the Central League champions. Was second team All-Central League netminder.

Kyle Gaeffke, Harriton — Senior striker and captain, a first team All-Central League selection, scored 13 goals in 18 games and dished out several assists as well, leading the Rams to a fine season.

William Rosenbaum, Lower Merion — Senior goalie and captain allowed only 14 goals in 20 games and posted 11 shutouts. Was second team All-Central League goalie (first team All-Central as a junior).

Gian-Luca Hail, Lower Merion — Senior defender and captain, a first team All-Central League pick, was potent on both sides of the ball. Helped anchor an Aces’ defense that allowed only 14 goals in 20 games and posted 11 shutouts, while scoring a team-leading seven goals.

Drew Ryan, Radnor — Senior center back, a first team All-Central League and first team All-Delco selection, was the Red Raiders’ Most Valuable Player. Anchored a defense that allowed one goal or fewer in 14 games. Also scored two game-winning goals.

 

SECOND TEAM

Conestoga — Blaise Milanek, sophomore midfielder; Matt Marcelli, junior midfielder/striker; Jack Braun, senior midfielder.

Harriton — Felix Serlin, junior center midfielder.

Lower Merion — Evan Wolf, senior center midfielder; Greg Kastein, senior center back.

Radnor — Max Barish, junior forward; Adrian Moscol, senior center back/center mid; James Cellucci, senior outside back/outside mid.

 

HONORABLE MENTION

Conestoga — Danny Leiser, junior defender; Gabe Harms, sophomore defender; Mason Sellig, junior defender.

Harriton — Matt Binnion, junior center defender; Anthony Calligaro, junior outside defender.

Lower Merion — Quinn Vagnoni, junior left defender.
